Virtual School Council Information Session - Wed Sep 17 @ 7 PM
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am writing to invite all interested parents and guardians to a virtual information session on Wednesday, September 17th, at 7:00 PM to learn more about how you can get involved in your student’s school community. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the vital role of the School Council and how your participation directly supports student success.
What is a School Council?
A school council is a collaborative body of parents, the principal, staff, students and community representatives. The council's primary role is to provide a voice for parents to work to identify school-wide priorities.
Parent/Guardian involvement is essential. The School Council's effectiveness relies on diverse perspectives and active engagement from the parent community. We welcome parents and guardians with a variety of skills, backgrounds, and experiences to help shape our school's future.
Please send me an email (joe.ross@ocdsb.ca) to indicate your interest in attending. I will add your email address to the virtual Google Calendar Invite.
We will also be hosting a family engagement event on Saturday, September 27th, in Gloucester.
I look forward to meeting with you.
